Homemade Croutons

Great for soups, salads, munching, and dipping, if they last that long!  BHL

Ingredients:

About 5-10 pieces slightly stale sliced bread

2 Tbsp- ΒΌ cup Flying Olive Sicilian Garlic, Sicilian Herb, Italian, or Parmesan Dipping Oil, or Garlic EVOO

Salt (optional)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 F.

Shake dipping oil well and pour about a 2 Tbsp- 1/4 cup into a small bowl, depending on how many slices of bread you have. Taking a pastry brush, brush both sides of the bread with the Flying Olive Dipping or Garlic EVOO.  Lightly salt, if desired.

Cut the bread into 1" pieces, or if you are planning to use it for dipping, cut into strips.

Place the pieces on a baking sheet lined with foil. Bake for about 10-15 minutes, turning halfway through with a spatula.  Check to see if the croutons are slightly toasted and crunchy.  Cool.

Remove from sheet and store in an airtight jar.
