Dave's Refrigerator Pickles

Reduce the sugar by half if you plan to eat these within the first week. After a month, the pickles are even more delicious! Barb L.

Ingredients:

1 cucumber, peeled and sliced very thin

1purple  onion, sliced thin

1/3 cup warm water

1/3 cup sugar

1/3 cup Flying Olive Gravenstein Balsamic Vinegar

Directions:

Prepare the veggies as directed. Mix the warm water and sugar together until the sugar is dissolved. Add the Flying Olive Gravenstein Balsamic Vinegar to the mixture. Stir well.

Layer the veggies in a tight sealing jar. Pour the liquid over them and seal.

Experiment with other veggies. (Note from Barb L.: I’ve tried green beans and tomatoes, good after a week, but after a month, they aren’t very good!)
