Photo: A turkey burger with cheddar cheese and Caramelized Red Apple Onions
If you want to add some delicious flavor to a turkey burger, hamburger, or even a slice of ham, try this recipe. It can be prepared 1 day ahead, covered, and re-warmed when ready to serve. Barb L.
Yield: Approximately 1 cup
¼ cup Flying Olive Butter Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 1/2 pounds red onions (about 4 medium), halved, thinly sliced
1 ½ Tbsp Flying Olive Red Apple Balsamic Vinegar
1/2 tsp coarse kosher salt
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
Add Flying Olive Butter Extra Virgin Olive Oil to a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.
Add onions and cook them about 5 minutes. Turn the heat down to low and continue to cook about 30 minutes, stirring frequently Stir in the Flying Olive Red Apple Balsamic Vinegar, salt, and pepper. Remove from the heat.
Top turkey burgers, hamburgers, pork chops or other meat.
